"teenagers scare the living shit outta me'"
Mood:  spacey

MCR said it best in "teenagers". Why do we have to be so moody? I scare myself sometimes. honest. one I'm as energetic as can be then as lazy as is imaginable. don't even get me started on emotions, we're noway incontrol of ourselves. I personally live of adrenaline. that's why I'm such a little rabblerouser. that's right, I used an old person word!!!!! I don't start physical "brawls", I start verbal things. I love to make people I hate hate me more. I'd make a great politician. and teens today are so into... each other, *hint hint wink wink nudge nudge* yeah... enough said there. and we are so judgemental. don't go and read this and be all like, harumph! I am not like that! cause you are. plain and simple. boys and girls alike. and most of us are so generic. wangster/skank, prep, or skater/emo. that's pretty much it. sprinkle in a few wannabes and you have the majority of my school. then you have te acception child, me. I'm eccentric. we are an elite group, very rare and widely feared. I'm sorta sleepy now so I'll continue my rantings tomorrow.

Mood:  spacey

wow. yeah. just writing right now. so, how're you? I'm pretty good, world, and yourself. You know, there are some songs I'd like to acknowledge for being "eye-openers". more likely than not I'm not gonna tell you the actual name of the song or who it's performed by, probably just gonna put in a quote or "sumthin'" cause I don't really pay attention to stuff like that. first there's on line I heard while listening to the radio, "I don't know the man that kills me, and I don't know these men I kill, but we all end up on the same page, cause none of us are doin' god's will..." like I've argued numerous times in religion class, war is not justifiable! Killing makes killing OK? I think not. Then there's, "big girls, you are beautiful," by mika. That one's a big moral booster!!! hmmm, what else? "wake me up when september ends," by greenday. another one about war. harumph. I was just thinking about them all today. oh well, I'll just change the topic. and ya know what? I can do that cause I'm da blogger and your the reader!

I hate it when people use text talk. like lmao and nd and lol and all of that other stuff. God!!! your so lazy. if your gonna sit in front of a computer and talk to people for a million bagillion hours at least have the decency to type out a whole word! or something that at least resembles a word. i mean really! f your privlaged enough to have a computer and yrecieve an education use them both wisely! your parents work hard to give you a good education and go and waste it by being an illiterate jerk! geez! not only that but some people "text talk" a whole sentence. ihiwpatltwawsiminrth! can you tell me what that says? no you can not because it's incoherant babbling, like some sound that would come out of a baby's mouth while it's drooling!

UGH!!! YOU PEOPLE ARE SO LAZY!!!

today
Mood:  not sure

todya was an A-day in school. right now I'm just compulsively writing, whether anyone reads this or not. In gym to day it was our last day and there were these super "word" girls that would not leave me alone. they're the loud mouth wangster skanks that I especially hate. They got all pissed off at me because I wouldn't sign their yearbooks. what is wrong with them? they kept coming up to me and standing in front of me while I was playing extreme two hemi-circle with maddy, anna, and hanna. then we moved to another court just to get away from them. I was about ready to snap and start throwing punches! then one of them took out their phone and started taking pictures of me! what the hell?!?!?!?!?! stalker much? I finally did the smart thing and went to Mrs. L and told her to get them to stop harrassing me. Like I expected, that wasn't the end, I was walking down the hallway to wait at my locker for Mark, my boyfriend, and one of the threw a sneaker at me. I just turned around and looked. there they were giggling to each other. so, in the most sarcastic tone I could manage, I shouted, "I love you too!" well, of course they reacted. They started scraeaming, "DYKE!!!" and they shoved me into my locker as they went past but, whateva'. KARMA BITCHES!!! What goes around comes around! One day, when theyre all grown up, they'll be covered in wrinkles at the age of thirty because they wear a 2' thick layer of makeup everyday, they'll be married to some scummy drug addict who'll be going in and out of jail and they'll be raising the next generation of wangster skanks.

In English today we had Mr. Brian, he is the best teacher EVER!!! He's an eccentric like me. we had to do part two of our english final and it was the listening comprehension part so he had to read an excerpt called "the parrot who says sorry, (and means it, maybe)" or something like that. Everyone in our class, including Brian, started cracking up when he read that you can show the bird two balls and he can tell you which one is smaller! I love humanities! It's the perfect place to express everything! Mrs. V, our humanities teacher regularly, sorta gets wrapped up in those cliched philosophies sometimes but she's great. she always has someway we can release our expression no matter what medium.

I felt sorta bad tpoday because I said mark was "awkward". I meant it in a good way though. when i said that i had just said bye to him and i was walking down the hallway to the tech wing with marie and alyssa. he heard me cause earlier today, after i said that and i had been home for awhile, he called and asked about it. woopsy! i explained and we talked about some more nonsense, no big deal. I hate it when people cause more drama than what's needed. like with relationships. We're only in junior high and kids are professing their love for each other!!! seriously , some people are screaming they love one guy this week and the next week they be proclaiming their undiing love for someone else! some start as young as 4th grade. I know a few people like that. really. you're too young to know if your in love. If I go ouot with someone then I probably just like them a whole lot, but I couldn't tell you truthfully if I loved them or not. The only time someone as young as junior high could truthfully say their in love was if they had been going out with smoeone for a few years, and that's only maybe! school dances are hilarious too. drama is inevitable. that's all I'll say about that.

that's me signing off with, "No one person is greater than I, and I am no greater than any one person. You can only make yourself standout with your character."

Imagine...
So how do we change the world? create your own idea based on John Lennon's "Imagine":

Imagine all the people/ Living life in peace.../

You may say I'm a dreamer/ But I'm not the only one/ I hope someday you'll join us/ And the world will be as one/

A brotherhood of man/ Imagine all the people/ Sharing all the world.../

You may say I'm a dreamer/ But I'm not the only one/ I hope someday you'll join us/ And the world will live as one/

"Imagine" presents the idea of "all the people/Living life in peace/A brotherhood of man." How do we make this happen? Personal level? School level? Community level? National level?

 So I said...

Everyone has their own versions of nirvana. one person's idea of peace and tranquility may be something completely different. Don't get me wrong, it's obvious a change is needed and the change that is needed is achievable (cough, cough) but it will take quite a bit of time. We need to get people to open up not only their minds, but their eyes as well. Those who think all is well and nothing should change need to wake to a dark sky just once in their life and realize that life's not all just sunshine and rainbows. Rachel's challenge came to our school, the message of this presentation got through to (and i mean really changed them) very few, for many others it had no effect whatsoever, it was just another presentation and then there were a few who got caught up in good feelings for all for a couple of days. Now I ask the readers of this blog who graduated school to remember back to your days and think how well did you know the administrators and all of the people who decided what you should learn when and how well you should know it. this units theme has been calling for us students to be more accepting of all people regardless to who they are. This is completely and entirely achieveable if we just take the time to get to know each other. Now back to having you think of how well you knew your school's administators, it is my belief that the administrators think they have done their part by giving us one assembly at the beginning of the year and thinking that will really get the message through to them. I am hoping that not only the building principles but the school board as well read this comment that I have left for all to see and rethink how they run our schools and hopefully LISTEN to the STUDENTS and their concerns. It may seem like i have gotten off topic but that is my proposal of how we move for change within our own school. As for the community, they need to see that if us "kids" are worried about something this serious then maybe, just maybe they'll realize that they probably should be concerned with it too. I have jazz band now so I must end with one of my favorite quotes that I believe fits quite well with this unit, "No one person is greater than I, and I am no greater than any one person." - Quote from Aine Evangelista herself!  ~Aine

mrs. v's blog!

okay, so add your own comment on mrs. V's blog!!

Repeating History
"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." George Santayana, The Life of Reason, Volume 1, 1905

What does this quote have to do with our current unit of study? What common themes have you discovered in the texts and movie clips? Give specific details to support your ideas.

so I said...

the common theme i have found within the movie clips we have viewed in our recent classes as well as the texts is... hmm... that the people of the world need change and that the change that is needed is achievable. in the movie freedom writers the teacher, whose name is not remembered by me, realized her class had some sort of on going war that needed to end before something terrible happened between them. she knew she needed to help her students change themselves for the better and end the racial tension in her class. she did exactly that by showing her students how all of their hateful comments aimed at each other will inevitably end in something fatal. she brought them to a holocaust museum, and made them read the diary of anne frank. in one of their last school years with her she assigned her class a list of books which reminded her of them. as they read they began to realize what they were doing to each other and that a dark ending was all they would have to look forward to if they kept treating each other with the same racist views as before. they stoped fighting because of their race and started a "fight" for peace.
